£18,000-22,000 pa


We have an exciting opportunity for an outstanding Nature Policy Officer with a specialism either in agriculture or Biodiversity Action Planning (BAP). Building on our success in linking farming and nature, the successful candidate will initially be responsible for coordinating a Defra funded project across farmland in Greater Lincolnshire. The project will involve primary research that will contribute to the delivery of the National Pollinator Strategy. The Nature Policy Officer will also launch the newly revised Biodiversity Action Plan in 2016 that will lead to the development of a range of new and innovative projects.

Good communication skills and a clear understanding of biodiversity legislation and policy is essential, as is broad knowledge of the agricultural sector and the BAP process. You should have experience of working with a range of stakeholders or in a partnership. A relevant qualification and a full current UK driving licence are also required.

The GLNP is a government accredited Local Nature Partnership and the Team is hosted by the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust in the market town of Horncastle.
