The GLNP has announced that its annual conference will this year be on the theme of the value of nature tourism. Held on the 12 November at the Brackenborough Hotel the conference will launch new research on the current value of nature tourism to the economy of Greater Lincolnshire. The conference will be opened by Chris Baron, Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership representative for the visitor economy and Resort Director and Butlins Skegness. The keynote will be given by Dr Simon Woodward of Leeds Beckett University, Simon has led the research into the economic value of nature tourism in Greater Lincolnshire and will describe the findings. Following this barriers and opportunities for developing the nature tourism product as an integral part of the tourism economy will be explored.
