The Big Butterfly Count encourages people to spot and record 18 species of common butterflies and two day-flying moths during three weeks of high summer. It is the world's largest butterfly survey and with more information we will be better able to reverse declines in butterfly species. The Big Butterfly Count is organised by Butterfly Conservation. On their website you can download an app for your phone to help with the count or maybe you prefer to print out a simple chart! You can count your butterflies until the 9 August so get counting! Lincolnshire has a local branch of Butterfly Conservation if you want to get to know more about these colourful flying insects, and their nightime cousins Big butterfly count information: https://www.bigbutterflycount.org/ Lincolnshire Butterfly Conservation: http://butterfly-conservation.org/300/lincolnshire-branch.html Categories Data and evidence
